order backpack, came without the tag attached to the product, holes in the plastic cover, and obvious signs of prior use. Was sold as NEW. Shady business - don't be a patron.

Damaged / Used Item

Extremely disappointed in the quality assurance and customer service offered by Moosejaw. I paid for a Fjallraven Backpack that arrived dirty, without all tags, and had USED items in the bookbag which included: a crumpled up Walmart bag, used hair ties, bobby pins, dirty old charm bracelets clearly from a summer camp, and crumpled up stickers. I then reached out desperate to customer service because my son starts school tomorrow. I opened the bookbag expecting to find a pristine condition bag that I could prep for my son's first day of school. Instead I am greeted with a used bag that clearly was not checked by whoever receives the returns. Unlike a normal company that would offer apologies and be appalled by the condition in which this item was received, I was greeted by a lackluster response as if this is to be expected. The offer was to exchange the product (while I pay for shipping?!?) that would not arrive until next week. Not to mention the nightmare of not having all the original tags on the used item I received. Will I be penalized further for your mistake? I am so thoroughly disappointed in the response and at the very least expected an apology and a refund for the mistake. Working in customer service and hospitality as a Sales Manager, I am appalled at how this has been handled. For a company that has "I guarantee that this will be the best customer service you've ever had" I expected a lot more.

Do not buy from this website

I ordered a jacket on November 28 and it is December 14 and still has not arrived. The estimated delivery was December 11. They promise a 20% discount for first orders; however, they don't tell you it is for regular price only. I found out later when I called customer service that they do not offer any more discount if the item is on sale. Also, they promise your order is going to be delivered in two days, but it takes them weeks to really deliver your items. I believe this website is not keeping their promises.

So far so good

This seems to be sort of like a regional REI. You earn purchase credits usable at the store on every purchase, more if you pay full price. They seem to carry higher-end items with associated prices, but you can find some good bargains on sales, and the purchase credits are nice (especially when they've got a credit special going on). Customer service has been helpful the one time I called, and the free 2-day shipping to WA state is a bonus.

So great I just felt obligated to tell everyone!

When I saw the Granite Gear pack for a ridiculously low price I immediately placed an online order. Then a friend’s comment made me check out Moosejaw’s reviews. Honestly, I have never seen so many bad reviews, but I had already placed the order. Two business days later and the first item arrived, the next day the second half of the order arrived. Both exactly what I ordered, in perfect condition, and in record time. My experience with Moosejaw...5 stars! Thank you Moosejaw!

Total Incompetency

I almost feel bad for this company because it seems like they're trying. They just can't seem to get anything right. I ordered an Exped Megasleep 25 sleeping bag. When the box arrived I noticed they sent me the 40 degree version which is a cheaper and lighter bag. No big deal. I contacted them and they sent me a return label. A few days after not hearing anything, I contacted them and looked up the tracking number. The package had made it back to the warehouse, but a replacement was never sent. Moosejaw promptly told me the bag I ordered was out of stock but I could mail it back for a refund minus the cost of fees... I sent them a screenshot of the confirmation that the bag was already back in their warehouse. No reply... I sent yet another email. This time I was told that the refund should appear shortly and that $20 worth of rewards would be added to my account as compensation for the mix up. No problem. Days later, less than $15 worth of rewards has been added to my account and I'm still waiting on the refund... So far I'm about 2 weeks into this ordeal. I should've just bought it on Amazon and been done with it.

Order hasn't arrived.

I ordered black diamond rock climbing shoes. There was no order number and the link to review my order was broken. Estimated arrival date: July 5th. It's July 12th. I understand orders can take a while but over a week after the date? I'm starting to get worried. Are you guys even a legitimate store?

Not what they claim at all.

Ordered a pair of hoka one one arahi 2 from Moosejaw on April 30th. Website said in two days they would be shipped. May 7th, I called in and was told that they hadn't been shipped yet from the actual vendor, not Moose Jaw and that they were coming in a different color than ordered. Cancelled order immediately.

If you can find what you're looking for a different store, do yourself a favor and go to the OTHER STORE

I ordered a jacket, and recieved a GoPro charger. I get ahold of them and was told I can bring the charger to the store here in town and they'll order me the jacket again. Well, my life is a little hectic and I wouldn't have time to do that anytime soon. Meanwhile, they have literally 3 jackets left in stock of the size/color I wanted. So if I didn't do it soon, I'd lose out on the jacket that I should have already been wearing at that point. So I ask if I can just get a promo code for the 20% off promo they had going at the time, and I'll just reorder the jacket to avoid it selling out on me. They ignored my emails, I gave up after 3 ignored emails. After explaining the same thing to several people on chat, I finally get the jacket reordered and they hooked me up with a pretty good discount. I kinda thought they were just going to call it a wash on the charger, since they sent it to the wrong person, but apparently I won't get my refund for the original order that I never got, until I return the charger. Sounds reasonable, but the amount of time I've already wasted, and still have to devote more time to returning their item they sent to the wrong person, and I'm sure I'll need to get ahold of them again after returning it just to get the refund. And my emails are being blown up with these incredibly corny spam messages every day, despite clicking UNSUBSCRIBE several times. Bottom line, they're incompetent and annoying to deal with. Not worth the time...

Very disappointed

Made an online order, with a status of “ship date + two weeks”. No prob, right? Next couple weeks they sent message (after my call) saying “special order” so delayed. Next week or so “sorry, can’t fulfill order because item no longer available”. Completely untrue, as the manufacturer showed same size/style available. When I called to complain, they were patronizing at best, “I will have a TALK with my manager when we hang up. Be warned folks, these folks have questionable practices based on my experience.

Horrible disgusting waitress, the waitress name is Blasa

I did my meal and she did it wrong and when I re-ordered it and she did it wrong again and I didn’t eat it because it was disgusting. Also they cut the pizza in large pieces and we could barely eat them then we called her over and she looked right at us and turned and walked away and she did this to us three times and we got very annoyed and she was not a very nice person. Also she forgot toppings on our pizza and she still charged us for it and it was not a fun time here and I didn’t like it at all.

Worst company out there.

Wrong product sent 3 times. Finally agreed to send back for refund. No refund yet after 4 weeks. They put you on hold for ages when you call. Staff is incompetent at best. Bad bad deal.

Hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The employees are rude, unprofessional, and cannot ever solve the problem. Over the holidays I had to return an item (because they sent me the wrong one) now they're claiming they never got the item back and are fighting me on giving me a refund for the nearly $150 dollar jacket I returned to them. I went through all of the proper channels, talked to their customer service, used their shipping label etc and they are still blaming me. I hope this company goes out of business so they cant scam anymore people.
